Thanks for a GREAT Year, Wimberley Texans!

The Wimberley Texan's epic year ended Friday morning in a heartbreaking 5-3 loss in the 4A baseball championship. Even with the loss, the team proved its grit and resiliency, having never gone this far in the playoffs.

It caps off an incredibly successful year, with championships or high placings in a whole string of academic and athletic events. KWVH was there for more than 60 games broadcast throughout the school year. We're proud to support our kids and our community, and we are already planning for another successful year beginning in August.

Texan Pride!

Join KWVH as We Celebrate the Army's 250th Birthday

Join KWVH for our first-ever broadcast from Dripping Springs, as we celebrate the U.S. Army's 250th birthday. On Saturday, June 14 from 5pm to 9pm at Patriot's Hall, they'll be serving up free burgers and hot dogs. Feel free to bring your favorite beverages to help salute the men and women who help ensure our country remains free. And if you haven't gotten your KWVH 10th anniversary t-shirt yet, we'll have them on site for sale.

Let's Salute Our Veteran of the Week

KWVH and VFW Post 6441 salute Specialist 5 Jeffrey Felton, who honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 as a Combat Engineer in Vietnam, building on the family legacy started by his father, a Navy Seabee who helped build an airbase on Guam during World War II, and mother who served as a wartime codebreaker.

After his military service, he pursued a career in science—first as a laboratory

technician, then as a professor after earning his Ph.D. in Molecular and Microbiology. For 34 years, Dr. Felton educated medical students, sharing his deep knowledge and commitment to public service.

Thank you for your steadfast support to your country and community, Dr. Felton!

Roadwork on RM 3237 at Flite Acres

Could it be that the cones and barrels are finally getting ready to depart RM 3237??

TxDOT will be implementing one-way traffic control at the turn lane widening of Flite Acres and Rogers/Smith Creek Road all week (weather permitting) from 8pm - 5am daily through Thursday, June 19.

They'll mill and inlay existing lanes and complete final surface paving. Traffic control personnel will be on site to direct one-way traffic but expect delays in the area. The area stretches from Flite Acres Road to Rogers/Smith Creek Road. Refer to the map showing the closure location.

For any questions regarding these lane closures, please contact the TxDOT South Travis Area Office at (512) 282-2113.
