At the Neon Armadillo for Friday Fun Day

Live music, Hill Country atmosphere, and a brand-new album are all on tap at the Neon Armadillo on Friday, March 27, when the Jesse Stratton Band celebrates the release of their new record Reunion. The FREE Album Release Party gets underway at 4pm and features a strong lineup of Texas talent including Jesse Stratton, Ras Mundi, Django Step Children, and Jillian Hudson. It’s shaping up to be a great afternoon of music in one of the valley’s favorite outdoor gathering spots.
The show will take place beneath the oak trees at the Neon Armadillo, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed spring afternoon with friends, cold drinks, and plenty of live music. The event also serves as a fundraiser for KWVH 94.3 FM, helping support Wimberley Valley Radio and its mission to keep the community informed, connected, and entertained.

Wimberley View Celebrates 50 Years
The Wimberley View will celebrate fifty years of community journalism with a special anniversary reception on Thursday, March 20, from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Wimberley Village Library. Community members are invited to stop by and help mark this milestone for one of Wimberley’s longstanding local institutions.
The reception will be hosted by Dr. Patrick Cox, whose family launched The Wimberley View in March 1976 and who served as the paper’s first editor. Speakers will include regional editor Dalton Sweat and managing editor Teresa Kendrick. Mayors of Wimberley and Woodcreek, along with former and current writers and columnists, are expected to attend as the community reflects on the newspaper’s legacy and its continuing commitment to local storytelling.
Guests will also have the opportunity to view a special exhibition titled “Fifty Years of Service to the Wimberley Community,” featuring historic issues, photographs, awards, and a video presentation by Gale Wiley. Following the reception, the exhibition will remain on display at the library for several weeks for those who wish to explore the publication’s rich history in greater depth.
