The fun begins at 2pm at the breathtaking Videre Estate for an unforgettable afternoon of Southern charm, high fashion, and fast horses — all in support of your favorite community radio station, KWVH 94.3.

Watch the Kentucky Derby on a giant screen, place your bets, and dress to impress — prizes await the best-dressed attendees! Tables, tickets, and sponsorships are available now, but only a few remain. Just click the button above to get your seats.

Mark your calendar, gather your Derby crew, and celebrate what’s truly the best weekend of the year at a stunning hill country estate. All proceeds benefit KWVH and the voices that keep Wimberley connected. We’ll see you at the Videre Estate this Saturday — don’t miss it!

Congratulations to Brigitte Burke,

The KWVH 10th Anniversary T-Shirt Design Winner!

Congratulations to Brigitte Burke, who drafted the winning design for our KWVH 10th anniversary t-shirt, pictured above. She won a $300 cash prize and the pride of having her artwork on some limited edition t-shirts.

If you're attending the Derby Party, you'll get to see the design up close, and they'll be on sale later next month, including at the May 24 Wimberley Strong Memorial Concert at the Blue Hole.

KWVH began broadcasting on June 3, 2015, to help Wimberley communicate

and recover from the devastating Memorial Day Flood. Since then, KWVH

has become one of the nation's preeminent nonprofit community radio

stations. What was born as a solution for communicating during crises has

become one of the area’s most vibrant civic and cultural hubs. The shirt design commemorates our station's tragic past and bright future.

Brigitte Burke is a Native Houstonian, and an enthusiastic transplant to Fischer, TX.

Brigitte earned an art degree from Baylor University before Waco was cool and spent the next 30 years as a graphic designer in the drab world of corporate America. Free from that life, she now lives in the hills of Texas with her husband Shawn – creating, painting, and enjoying the wildlife that surrounds her.

Don't Forget to Vote!

Early voting for the Wimberley ISD school bond is going on today and tomorrow. The proposed bond includes funding for new school facilities, safety upgrades, and expanded classroom space to accommodate the district’s growing student population.

Election Day is Saturday, May 3rd. Voting will take place in the Blanco Room of the Wimberley Community Center and at Texan Academy at the Scudder campus. More information is here.

Get out there and vote!

Wimberley Texan Update

A huge congratulations to our Texan speech and academic teams, who came home with the overall Region 4A honors! It just goes to show you that not only are our kids athletically talented, but they're excellent orators as well.

Let's Salute Our Veteran of the Week

KWVH and VFW Post 6441 salute Specialist Michael Ford, a U.S. Army veteran who served with distinction from 1972 to 1976 as an illustrator and graphic designer in Texas and Germany.

Following his military service, Michael channeled his talents into a remarkable civilian career, notably with the Texas Department of Transportation, leaving an artistic imprint seen across the state. His passion for design and storytelling is beautifully captured in Texas Co-op Power Magazine’s May 2024 and April 2023 issues!
