The party kicks off at 2 PM with mint juleps from Mad Roosters, a live and silent auction, mouthwatering bites from Gourmet Gals, sweet treats from Wimberley Ace Hardware, and an open bar to keep spirits high. Watch the Kentucky Derby on a giant screen, place your bets, and dress to impress — prizes await the best-dressed attendees! Tables, tickets, and sponsorships are available now, but only a few remain.

Mark your calendar, gather your Derby crew, and celebrate what’s truly the best weekend of the year at a stunning hill country estate. All proceeds benefit KWVH and the voices that keep Wimberley connected. We’ll see you at the Videre Estate on May 3 — don’t miss it!

Wimberley Texan Update

So much going on with our Wimberley Texans!

Tonight, the girls volleyball team gets their state championship rings, and the public is invited to the ceremony! It happens from 6-7pm at The Waters Point. Let's cheer our champs on!

Meanwhile, the Wimberley High boys track team finished second overall at the Region IV meet. They were lead by senior Nolan Waida, who qualified for state in the triple jump, long, jump, 200 meters, 4x200 relay, and 4x400 relay. Charlie Hanle punched his ticket to state with a first place pole vault finish. On the girls side, freshman Corina Joyce placed 2nd in the 2 mile run, earning her a spot at state. Impressive!

On the diamond, WHS baseball beat Navarro 9-2, improving their record to 7-1. in district play. They'll face the Davenport Wolves on Tuesday at home, and then they'll face them again on Friday on their home turf. The girls softball team lost to Davenport, bringing their record to 6-4 in the district.

Meanwhile, best of luck to students who will attend the Region IV Academic Meet at Texas A&M Corpus Christi this Friday and Saturday. There are more than 30 -- yes 30 -- Texans who qualified to compete at Regionals.

LET'S GO TEXANS!

Let's Salute Our Veteran of the Week

KWVH and VFW Post 6441 salute Charles Wilde, who served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1978 as a Sonarman and Navy diver, with assignments in California, Virginia, and Cuba. His work required skill, courage, and deep commitment to duty.

Today, Charles continues to serve — this time in his community. He volunteers as a youth fishing instructor, sharing his love of the outdoors and mentoring young anglers with patience and care. He also teaches Sunday school, guiding children with faith and kindness.

Thank you, Charles Wilde!
