Wimberley's Sage & Ian Summers
Crowned "LEGO Masters!"

Congratulations to Sage & Ian Summers, winners of LEGO Masters Season Five! They took the crown last Monday night on FOX.
For their creative efforts, they went home with a $100,000 cash prize, Lego trophy, and brickmaster bragging rights. Their winning build will be displayed at Legoland New York. The duo spoke with TV Insider, and here are a few highlights from their interview:
The notoriety has given a boost to their local pet-sitting business.
They're humbled that local kids are inspired by their sibling cooperation.
They don't usually match outfits in "real life," but they enjoyed coordinating.
Host Will Arnett "is like your uncle."
They're planning to save the $100,000 prize "for future stuff..." and maybe a visit to NYC to see their creation on display.
Well done, Sage and Ian!

Hays County Resident Tests Positive
For West Nile Virus

Hays County health officials have confirmed the first human case of West Nile Virus in the county during the 2025 mosquito season. The Health Department did not disclose the patient’s identity or location due to privacy concerns.
While most infected individuals remain asymptomatic, about 1 in 5 may experience flu‑like symptoms, and severe neurological complications are rare but possible—especially for those over 50 or with weakened immune systems. Hays County has not recorded any positive mosquito pools so far in 2025, whereas more than 3,300 were reported statewide in 2024.
Public health officials urge residents to follow the “3 Ds” of protection: use DEET‑based repellents, dress in long, light‑colored clothing, and drain standing water around homes. Stay safe out there!
