Boys Hoops Playoffs Start Tonight.

The 33-2 Texan boys basketball team faces the Liberty Hill Legacy Ranch Wranglers tonight at 8pm in the first round of the playoffs in Buda. KWVH's Jarred Robinson and Darren Masur will call this evening's game on 94.3FM and streaming on our website or app.

The Texans are looking for their 15th straight win. If they do it again, they'll face off against either Cuero or Pleasanton. Meanwhile, the girls' hoops squad lost a heartbreaker to Manor New Tech in their playoff game, 53-51.

On the diamonds... the softball team went 3-0-2 at their home tournament. They travel to LaVernia for a game tomorrow. Baseball is coming off a 14-5 win against the Thrall Tigers for their first win of the season. They visit Burnet tomorrow evening.

The Lady Texan soccer team will head to Davenport on Tuesday, looking to extend its 13-game winning streak. Meanwhile, the boys soccer team hosts the Davenport Wolves on the pitch tomorrow.

And hats off to the speech and debate team, with a whopping TEN placements in several events at Westwood High.

There's more new programming hitting the Wimberley Valley Radio airwaves! Dance Time in Texas with DJ Mike (known off-air as Mike Bilansky) is now airing on Saturdays from noon to 1pm on 94.3FM.

It's a top ten Texas and Americana music countdown show. DJ Mike is active in promoting the local Texas country and blues music scene, so tune in and support this new show.

Wimberley Valley Radio is teaming up with the Neon Armadillo for a Friday Fun Day celebration in honor of Jesse Stratton’s new album release.
