Homecoming Wins for Wimberley
It was a victorious homecoming weekend for the Wimberley Texans. On the gridiron, the Texans topped the Bellville Brahmas, 49-35. They'll take the week off before facing Giddings on October 9 in their first league game.
While the football team was settling things at home, the lady Texan volleyball squad was getting it done in Fredericksburg. They blanked the Billies 3-0, bumping their overall record to an amazing 34-3. They'll face Kerrville Tivy on the road tomorrow at 5pm, live on KWVH.
Catch up on all things Texan this evening at 6:30pm for the Wes Lambert Coach's Show on KWVH 94.3.
GO TEXANS!

Pumpkin Patch Party Planned
Just in time for the (hopefully) cooler fall weather... the pumpkin patch is returning to Ranch Road 12 and 1492! Pumpkins of every shape and size are available for purchase, and the patch is one of the Wimberley Valley's most Instagrammable autumn backdrops!
The patch opens next Monday, October 5 and runs through Halloween, daily from 11am to 7pm. All proceeds benefit Barnabas Connection, Bright Beginnings preschool, Camp CommUnity summer scholarships, and Wimberley UMC Family Ministries.
On Sunday, October 11 from 1:30 to 4:30pm, Wimberley United Methodist Church will host the annual Party at the Pumpkin Patch. Jay Sims and Reintarnation will play at 2pm, and a burger meal is available -- just donate what you can. Every pumpkin purchase over $20 gets a free meal.
Get a gourd, support a great cause!

VFW Post 6441 and KWVH Salute Our Veteran of the Week
VFW Post 6441 and KWVH salute .S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Ken Cantwell, who served his country from 1986 to 1995 as an Air Force firefighter. During his nine years of service, Ken was stationed in Florida, Texas, England, and the Republic of
Korea, responding to emergencies and helping protect his fellow service members and their nearby communities.
After leaving the Air Force, Ken entered a new career as a truck driver, a profession he continued for many years before recently retiring. Ken settled in Wimberley in 2008, becoming part of the community we’re all proud to call home.
Please join us in recognizing Staff Sergeant Ken Cantwell for his military service, his years of hard work, and his continued contributions to the Wimberley community.
Ken, we thank you for your service!
