Here's to the State Farm Good Neighbor of the Month!

Byron Eckols State Farm and KWVH salute our Good Neighbor volunteer program! This month, we salute Brad Biggers as Wimberley’s volunteer of the month. Mr. Biggers is a history teacher and coach at Wimberley High School, known for bringing history to life—and inspiring students to love history. He also volunteers for Fig Tree Outreach.

Our non profit highlight is the Wimberley Village Thrift Store on River Road. The thrift store benefits several local non profit organizations and is a fun place to find furniture, clothing, and more—and every purchase makes a difference in or community.

Our KWVH volunteer of the month is Lacy Reid. Lacy is the executive producer of our Sunday morning Classical Music program, Classical Portfolio.

Nominate a local volunteer or non profit for recognition by emailing info@kwvh.org.

VFW Post 6441 and KWVH Salute Our Veteran of the Week

VFW Post 6441 and KWVH salute U.S.. Marine Corps Sergeant Travis Brown. Sergeant Brown proudly served six years in the Marine Corps as both an anti-tank assaultman and an artilleryman, with assignments in Texas and Oklahoma. His Marine service demanded skill, discipline, teamwork, and a willingness to stand ready when his country needed him.

But for Travis, service didn’t end when he left the Marine Corps. He continued serving his community as a Deputy Constable in Hays County, helping protect the people of Wimberley.

Travis also volunteers as a Fire Commissioner for Wimberley Fire Department, Emergency Services District Number 4, and as an adult leader with Scout Troop 127.

Sergeant Travis Brown represents the very best tradition of military and community service. Wimberley is proud to call him one of our own—and we thank him for his service to our nation and our community.

UNDERWRITER SPOTLIGHT

This month, we spotlight our longtime underwriter Centex Recognition, the authorized regional sales representative office for Herff Jones in Central Texas. They provide official graduation supplies, class rings, custom letterman jackets, patches, and promotional school apparel. Thank you for making our mission possible.
