Texan Girls Soccer Advances to Regional Finals

Those Lady Texan footballers just keep on hanging W's. They beat Rockport-Fulton on Friday night by a score of 9-0 (no, that is not a typo). They'll face the London Pirates tonight in Floresville. They last faced London on January 3 with the Texans prevailing 4-0.

Texan baseball has started district play strong, sweeping Canyon Lake for a 2-0 start. Meanwhile, Texan softball extended their district record to 4-0.

And the accolades keep pouring in for the state champion volleyball team. Senior Laney Hennessee was crowned as the Texas Girls Coaches Association's 4A-1A Volleyball Athlete of the Year.

Stay tuned to KWVH for live sports broadcasts and the weekly Texan Tailgate, Fridays at 4pm. GO TEXANS!

KWVH and VFW Post 6441 Salute Our Veteran of the Week

This week's honoree is Lieutenant Colonel Bob Flocke, who has dedicated his life to service, both in uniform and beyond. A proud member of a military family, he answered the call to duty in 1968, embarking on a distinguished 24-year career as an Artillery Officer. His service took him across the globe, from U.S. installations to Vietnam, Germany, Korea, and Iraq. One of the defining moments of his militarycareer was his time in Germany during the historic fall of the Berlin Wall.

After retiring from the Army in 1992, Bob continued to serve his community. As the Public Information Officer for the City of Austin Health Department, he played a vital role in keeping citizens informed. His dedication to public service extended to local government, where he served as a Wimberley City Councilman and later as Mayor.

Thank you, Bob Flocke, for your contributions!
