WISD Calls for School Bond Election

The Wimberley ISD Board of Trustees has unanimously voted to call for a school bond election this spring.
The decision follows a recommendation from the Facility Needs Task Force, a group of parents, community members, and district staff. Tasked with prioritizing more than $200 million in identified projects, the Task Force ultimately proposed a $135 million bond package to address capital improvements across WISD campuses and facilities.
Voters will decide on four separate propositions:
Proposition A – General growth, safety upgrades, and facility rehabilitation: $109.99 million
Proposition B – Instructional technology improvements: $6.05 million
Proposition C – Texan Stadium enhancements: $5.73 million
Proposition D -- Shaded multipurpose activity center: $13.23 million
This will be WISD’s first bond election since 2018 when voters approved funding for Blue Hole Primary School and other district improvements.
Registered voters residing within the WISD attendance boundary are eligible to vote. The deadline to register is Thursday, April 3. Early voting begins Tuesday, April 22, with Election Day set for Saturday, May 3, 2025.
