Mark your calendars and get your tickets now... the first-ever Wimberley Music Fest is coming to town. It's being held October 12-13 at the Wimberley VFW Rodeo Grounds.
Saturday features an amazing lineup of homegrown and regional artists, including Sarah Jarosz, Bri Bagwell, Soma Jerome, Susan Gibson, Dallas Burrow, Dylan James Riley, and Reintarnation.
On Sunday, the Fest switches gears to feature gospel music, headlined by Icy Simpson and backed by choirs from the Wimberley Methodist and Presbyterian churches. The Hill Country Honeys, Benji Uzo, Wimberley Feng Shui, and the Cypress Creek Worship Team will also perform.
Proceeds benefit the Barnabas Connection, our premier volunteer-based organization that serves the Wimberley Valley and those in need or crisis by navigating them to services or providing a hand-up.

Get Water Aware at the
Wimberley Chamber's State of Water Luncheon
If you've spent any time in the Wimberley Valley, you know that water - both quantity and quality - is a huge issue in our neck of the woods. Drought and development threaten our access to drinking water, not to mention our most treasured attractions like the Blue Hole, Jacob's Well, and the Blanco River.
On Wednesday, June 12, the Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce will host the State of Water Luncheon, from 11am to 1pm at the Community Center. The informative lecture will feature David Baker, executive director of the Watershed Association. He'll get you up to speed on the myriad water issues facing Wimberley, Hays County, and the Hill Country.
Registration is only open for a couple more days, so get your tickets now.
