Join us for the KWVH Volunteer & Community Appreciation Party!
Mark your calendars for Tuedsay, October 13 -- that's the date of this year's KWVH Volunteer and Community Appreciation Party, from 5 to 7pm at the Lions Field Pavilion.
We'll have food, drinks, and live music by Sam Downing -- and it's all FREE!! It's Wimberley Valley Radio's way of saying thanks to our community and the dozens of volunteers who make KWVH the best community radio station in the Hill Country.
Join us for a night of fun and community!
Texans Log Road Win Against Lampasas.
Wimberley put away the Lampasas Badgers 35-14 in their first road test of the season on Friday. They welcome Bellville to town at 7:30 on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Lady Texans earned a 3-1 victory over Johnson City last week. They'll face the Bandera Bulldogs tomorrow night at Bridges Gym at 6pm.
Catch up on all things Texan this evening at 6:30pm for the Wes Lambert Coach's Show on KWVH 94.3, and BOTH volleyball and football contests this week.

Final Water Wise Series of the Season is This Saturday!
Come and see the new native plants and other changes at Triangle Park in Woodcreek! This is the second year of a three-year Water Wise project to make Triangle Park a demonstration garden for rainwater collection and landscaping with native trees, shrubs, groundcovers and flowers.
Salwa Khan's Mothering Earth radio show and podcast are organizing the event, and speakers include Lin Weber, Hays County Master Naturalist, and Debra Hines, Woodcreek Mayor.
They can answer your questions about native plants and how to get them established in your yard and about using rainwater harvesting in your garden.
The Mayor will also include an update on a host of city water issues.
The interactive seminar runs from 10 to 11:30am on Saturday at Triangle Park in Woodcreek.
VFW Post 6441 and KWVH Salute Our Veteran of the Week
VFW Post 6441 and KWVH salute U.S. Navy Lieutenant Mark Adleman, whose service took him around the world and into some of the most challenging moments of his generation.
Mark served three years on active duty and three years in the inactive reserve, working as both a Communications Officer and an Electrical Officer. His assignments included California, Hawaii, Vietnam, and the Philippines. He also served in the Persian Gulf during the 1974 oil embargo.
After completing his military service, Mark continued a life of service to his community. Now retired, he remains active with the Lions Club, the Wimberley Institutes of Culture, and Cub Scout Pack 127.
