Lost Gonzo Gary P. Nunn Finds His Way to Wimberley

Gary P. Nunn is Coming to Wimberley!

Texas troubadour and cosmic cowboy legend Gary P. Nunn is coming to Wimberley! He'll play the at the legendary Blue Hole Regional Park on Saturday, May 24. Hometown favorite Jesse Stratton will open the party, which opens at 1pm.

The show is brought to you by the City of Wimberley, Wimberley Parks and Rec, and KWVH. This Memorial Day Weekend marks the 10th anniversary of the horrific floods, and a portion of the concert's proceeds will benefit TEXSAR, Texas Search & Rescue. That organization was crucial in assisting Wimberley in the hours and days after the flood.

Tickets go on sale March 1. Stay tuned to KWVH and the KWVH newsletter for more information on how to purchase your tickets.

Design Competition Open for KWVH's 10th Anniversary Commemorative Artwork

Calling all artists! To celebrate KWVH’s 10th anniversary, we’re hosting a special competition to design a limited-edition graphic for t-shirts and posters. This is your chance to showcase your creativity and be part of Wimberley’s history. Submissions are open to everyone. The deadline to submit is March 15, and the winning design will be announced on April 1.

This milestone marks 10 years since the devastating Memorial Day floods of 2015—the very event that gave rise to KWVH. Our station was founded to provide vital information during a time of crisis, and it remains a trusted source for the community in emergencies. Over the past decade, KWVH has grown into more than a radio station; it’s a celebration of local culture, entertainment, and hometown pride.

Wimberley Texan Recap

It's been another stellar week for the Wimberley Texans. On national signing day, six Wimberley seniors committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Meanwhile, two young men, Ty Thames and Cody Stoever, were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association 4A Super Elite Team.

Brilliance starts young in WISD, too -- congratulations to the "Wimberley Wonders," a group of five Jacobs Well Elementary fifth graders who beat out 17 other teams to win the Scientific Challenge category at the Destination Imagination Capital Region tournament. They were also awarded the "Renaissance Award," a special recognition given to teams exhibiting exceptional design, engineering, and performance skills. They'll compete at the state tournament in March.

Finally, our Lady Texan hoops team takes on Manor New Tech TODAY at Seguin High School in the 4A-II Bi-District Playoffs. You can give the girls a proper send-off this afternoon at 3pm at Ace Hardware.

Way to go, Texans!!
