KWVH Newsletter: School Days Are Here Again

Get Back in Gear, School is Almost Here!

School starts back up this Wednesday at most Wimberley Valley schools, with St. Stephen's opening next week. It's always a hectic time for everyone as students, parents, and teachers get back into their routines. Stay alert for pedestrians, crosswalks, and DO NOT try to scoot around a stopped school bus.

Last Thursday, KWVH was on hand to support teachers and staff after their convocation. About a dozen businesses were on hand to support all the folks who make Wimberley schools great. KWVH handed out t-shirts and raffled off a $100 gift card to HEB.

Go Texan teachers!

Do you need to mark some key dates for the school year? Here are a couple of helpful links to WISD's academic calendar and athletic calendar.

Want to Be a Part of Texan Sports Broadcasts? Talk to Susan Sisson.

It's hard to believe, but the first Texan Football game arrives in less than three weeks, when we face off against Canyon Lake. And get this... the Lady Texans first pre-season volleyball game is TOMORROW. Our Texan sports broadcasts are some of the most listened-to periods on KWVH... so why not make your business part of the action?

Make sure Wimberley Texan fans and families know about your business and give Susan Sisson a ring at 512-722-3266. Susan handles KWVH's underwriting, a critical component to keeping the station up and running. It's a great way to help your business and support your community radio station.

What is underwriting? KWVH Board Member Salwa Khan caught up with Susan to learn more.
