Blue Hole Back to School Bash Is Coming Up!
First day of classes for Wimberley students is nine days away (not that parents are counting or anything). To celebrate, the Wimberley Parks & Rec Department is hosting a Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 10 on the Blue Hole Lawn. It's free, with fun and games for the whole family. Registration is encouraged, but not required, on the Parks and Rec website.
If you're so inclined, they'll be accepting donations of school supplies like backpacks, notebooks, and pens and pencils to help local students start the year right. The drive is in conjunction with the Barnabas Back to School Fiesta, which also happens on the 10th from 8:30am - 4pm at the Barnabas HQ on Ranch Road 12.
AAANNNDDD... if you're a 78676 resident and you haven't spent time lately soaking in the cool and calming waters of the Blue Hole --- now's the time to do it! Residents-only Wimberley Nights happens every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings until Labor Day, and admission is only two dollars with a 78676 ID. It's the best deal in town!
Check Out Wimberley's Awesome Event Venues
Are you or someone you know planning a wedding, family reunion, or other event in the Wimberley Valley? Mark your calendars for September 13-15, where 16 area event venues show off their beautiful properties at the first-ever Wimberley Venue Crawl.
The goal of the crawl is to let the public see these venues' styles, amenities, and atmospheres, in a fun and efficient way. Crawl stops might include guided tours of venues & overnight accommodations, meet-and-greets with vendors, refreshments, door prizes, sample setups for ceremonies, receptions, and other fun activities.
Even if you're not planning an event, you can purchase tickets to get a glimpse inside some of the best accommodations in the Hill Country.
