KWVH, WAG, and Alexis Pointe:
"Therapy For All of Us"

It's not every day that a small -- but mighty -- community radio station gets noticed by the Austin media, but that's exactly what happened recently. And we're doggone proud of it!
On "Wagsday Wednesday" at Alexis Pointe Senior Living, residents gather outside each week for a party that mixes live music, wagging tails, and plenty of smiles. Thanks to Wimberley Valley Radio and the Wimberley Adoption Group and Rescue (WAG), the courtyard fills with upbeat tunes and adoptable pets ready to charm their way into new homes. Seniors clap along to the music while cuddling with puppies.
The idea is simple but powerful: bring joy to residents, give rescue pets more exposure, and sprinkle a little extra love around the community. The residents get a boost of therapy from the animals, the animals get a chance to shine, and your community radio station gets to spread the happy vibes across town. It’s proof that sometimes the best medicine is music, laughter, and a wet nose nudging your hand.

Cross Country Runs for Gold

Congrats to the girls Wimberley cross country team, who competed in the 4A and under division at Vista Ridge, taking first place team honors. Corina Joyce won the overall event (by 30 seconds!) and was joined in the top-10 by freshmen Abigail and Avery Wymore. Kate Sharp and Ava Arellano were also top-20. The girls’ JV was 2nd overall, led by individual winner Adriana Burnette. Ruby Vance was 7th. The boys varsity team was 12th, led by Camden Hopkins and Jeremiah Bales.
The defending state champion volleyball team beat Salado High 2-1 on Saturday, and the tennis team is also in full swing, playing Lake Travis over the weekend.
The Blue Hole Receives Tripadvisor Honors

Tripadvisor has named Blue Hole Regional Park in the top ten percent of tourist attractions globally.
The award is given by travelers who have actually experienced our sacred swimming hole. Being ranked in the top 10% signifies that Blue Hole consistently offers exceptional experiences—from the moment visitors reserve a swim slot to the time they leave, memories in tow.
If you haven't made it there yet this season, the Blue Hole is open daily through Labor Day, and on weekends through September.
