VACCINE NEWS: Hays County is scheduled to receive another round of COVID-19 vaccine, and the county’s vaccination appointment site is set to open this Friday at noon. Anyone who qualifies under the state’s Phase 1A and 1B criteria will be able to use the online portal or phone number to make an appointment. Neither the online portal nor the phone number will accept reservations before noon this Friday. Residents can go to haysinformed.com to find the sign-up link. It also will be on the county’s Facebook page. Those without internet access can call 512-938-1650. Officials urge those who have internet access to use the portal and allow the phone line to remain open for those who truly need it.
